Frugal Fridays Issue #2

Yay! You've ended another week without strangling anyone! Here's some deals and tasty recipes to reward you for making it through another week of work and parenthood!

Deals I love this week:

Groceries
Free, yes FREE chocolate at Frys! Download this week's Free Friday Download before the end of the day today and stop in sometime before April 4th to redeem it!

Fry's also has a great deal going on for strawberries 4/$5 and deals on soda I will be taking them up on! Check out your local store's Weekly Ad for more!

Feeling crafty? Have a big project you've been waiting on good deals to purchase materials for? Head over to Michael's for a 40% off one item AND 20% off your total purchase you can use together! I'll be heading in there myself today to pick up materials for some ritual wreaths I'm making for a Grey Faction project! *See bottom of blog for more info*

Sprouts has an amazing 72 Hour Sale going on this weekend including on 65 cents for blackberries and super cheap easy peel raw jumbo shrimp! Check out your local store for more details!

Retail
If you're local to the Phoenix Metro Valley, one of my favorite retailers Shirts N' Things is having a Tent Sale this weekend! Go like them on Facebook and check out this sweet event!

An update on recent store closure for those of you looking to cash in on the clearance sales; remember be respectful to their employees and the store! Liquidation is not an excuse to be an asshole!

Finally here's a tasty recipe I made this week that was ridiculously cheap and easy to make!
Ingredients:
1 box of penne pasta (I used a gluten free legume pasta but if you're non-celiac you can get regular penne pasta for about a buck)
Drizzle of olive oil
2 cups chopped fresh tomatoes
2 fresh zucchini sliced
4 cloves of cut fresh garlic (I really like garlic)
garlic salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Wash and cut zucchini and tomatoes
slice up garlic cloves
sautee zucchini, tomatoes, and garlic in olive oil until soft (I like my veggies a little firmer so do this to your own liking) and then season with garlic salt and pepper. If you'd like your veggies with a little "sauce," add a small amount of water to the pan.
While you're sauteeing the veggies, boil the pasta as directed on the box - when all done combine the two and top with your preferred pasta additions (pepper flakes, Parmesan cheese, etc).
That's it! Super easy, super tasty, and cost me almost nothing to make and feed five people with!
